You will probably find writing your own html code to be relatively easy and very low cost as opposed to buying expensive to moderate priced web creation software. 1. Visit Page Tutor (Formerly PROFESSIONAL WEB DESIGN) for free html tutorials, and many free web resources for images, sounds etc.

HTML Code Helpers:
With your mouse, you can highlight, copy and paste these codes for use in your html code. Basically after you have created a basic html page (see tutorials here on html) to get an image in the document, between the body tags use this tag:
<img src="pic1.jpg" alt="description of pic" border="0">

To get a link in it:
<a href="http://www.anysite.com">Your link name</a>
You may also link images.

tag for new line: <br>

tag to center: <center> content </center>

tag for a new paragraph: <p>

tags to change text size font and color:
<font size="3" face="arial" color="red"> text </font>

2. Another good html writing tutorial site
is HTML Goodies
Try the tables tutorial there. Tables can help you get content positioned where you want it on a page. They can be invisible or have borders and colors.

Basic HTML Template
Use a template to help write the base code for your own pages. Click or Right Click here and save target as to download our template. It is a zip(compressed) file. Download it to your computer then many people can just open it by clicking on it, or use a program like winzip to uncompress it. It contains 1 folder with a few webpage files inside. Read the included read me for additional help.

After you download it, Windows users can open the folder, double click on the index file to view the basic designed page. Then, if your browser is Internet Explorer, right click on the white blank background after it is open, and left click view source. (or see below)

Users of Newer versions of Internet Explorer to edit, instead you will have to right click on the actual file inside the downloaded folder and left click open with notepad. You can then add or edit any html code you like. Once you have saved it you can then double click to view how the page will actually look.
